Emomali Rakhmon wins over 90% of votes to win Tajikistan elections

Tajikistan's leader Emomali Rakhmon has got over 90 percent of votes to secure a landslide victory in the elections. 90.9 percent of voters voted in favour of Rakhmon in Sunday's poll. According to the Central Electoral Commission, the total voter turnout was over 85 percent. This election win will help Rakhmon cross 3 decades as the country's leader surpassing Nursultan Nazarbayev as the former Soviet Union's longest-ruling leader.
