EU leaders back 2050 carbon target without Poland

European Union leaders have agreed to make the 28-member bloc a carbon-neutral one by 2050. Poland, heavily dependent on coal, is still opposing and is being exempted for now. EU assures it would continue to work on convincing Poland to support the deal. Many eastern European countries have sought for financial and other guarantees before agreeing to the EU cutting to zero the net amount of greenhouse gas emissions.
