Former US President Bill Clinton admitted to California hospital due to suspected blood infection

Former US President Bill Clinton has been admitted to a California hospital over a suspected blood infection. The 75-year-old has been kept in the intensive care unit for privacy. "He is on the mend, in good spirits, and incredibly thankful to the doctors, nurses and staff providing him with excellent care," Clinton spokesman Angel Urena said. The former president is being treated at University of California Irvine Medical Center.
