French healthcare workers fined for protest

At least 50 healthcare professionals were fined and three were arrested during a protest outside a hospital in Paris. More than 400 doctors, nurses and ancillary staff were wearing scrubs and banging trays and pans demanding better funding for the hospital, which is reportedly in financial difficulty. Protesters called for pay hikes and demanded reforms for better working conditions for healthcare workers.
