GDP was over-estimated, India is not the fastest growing world economy

BJP government's former chief economic adviser Arvind Subhramanian had overestimated the Indian GDP by 2.5% due to a change in the methodology, and that estimate leads to a rosier picture about the Indian economy, than the actual reality. The overestimation took place after the methodology to calculate GDP was changed by the previous Congress-led govt in 2012. Latest reports cast shadows on India's current economic status.
