Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad who was one of the signatories to the “dissident” letter written to Sonia Gandhi, has called for an election in the Congress party. “If my party wants to be in opposition for the next 50 years, then there is no need for elections within the party,” Azad said. He added that the person who becomes party President without an election might not even have one percent support.
