Days after getting ousted by the Taliban, former Afghan president Ashraf Ghani has been 'deserted' by his friends in US. "He is no longer a figure in Afghanistan," Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman told the media when asked about Ghani. The statement comes as Ghani refuted the claims that he fled from Kabul with a lot of money and vowed to return home. Taliban is now in talks with Hamid Karzai, an old 'friend' of US.
