BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma today took oath as the Chief Minister of Assam. Sarma was sworn in as the 15th Chief Minister of the northeastern state in the presence of Assam governor Jagdish Mukhi in Guwahati. BJP president JP Nadda was present at the swearing-in ceremony. Sarma is only the second BJP chief minister of state after party colleague Sarbananda Sonowal, who was the chief minister in the previous term.
