Home Ministry to provide central security cover to all 77 BJP MLAs in Bengal

Amid the rising cases of political violence in West Bengal, the Union Home Ministry has given its approval for providing a cover of central security forces to all the newly elected 77 BJP MLAs in the state. All the 77 BJP MLAs will be given armed commandos of the CISF and the CRPF for their protection. Sixty-one of the 77 MLAs will get the lowest ''X'' category coverage, while the rest will get a 'Z'' category protection.
