Hong Kong police have arrested 300 people after firing pepper pellets amid the latest new anti-mainland unrest. Protesters took to the streets against a bill on China's national anthem and Beijing's proposed introduction of a national security law. The arrests are said to be on suspicion of unauthorized assembly. Protesters oppose the anthem bill and the security law which they fear will strip of basic freedoms.
