IMF says, India should take measures to ensure privacy in biometric identification system

The International Monetary Fund has said, India should take necessary measures to ensure privacy while implementing large identification programmes like the Aadhaar. The IMF also said, in India, biometric identification and electronic payments have helped a lot to reduce the leakages in LPG subsidies and also India was ranked as a leader in the biometric identification system by the Global Financial Body.
