In 43 days in jail, lost 5kg and suffered 2 bouts of illness: Chidambaram to SC

Ex-Finance minister P Chidambaram told Supreme Court that he had lost 5kg weight and suffered 2 bouts of illness in 43 days in jail. His lawyer Kapil Sibal told a bench of justices that during Chidambaram's stay in jail, he suffered from 2 bouts of illness for 5 & 7 days respectively and antibiotics were administered. He added with the onset of winter, the 74-year-old might face more health issues.
