PM Modi received income tax refunds minimum 5 times while Congress president Rahul Gandhi received 6 times in the last 18 years. The refunds assessment for the years 2015-16 & 2012-13 got 'adjusted against outstanding demand' in case of Modi. This is based on the online 'refund status' service provided by the Tax Information Network of IT dept. The refund status since the assessment year 2001-02 can be checked online.
