India has extended its support to Antonio Guterres for 2nd term as the chief of the United Nations. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met the UN Secretary-General during his New York visit. India reiterated the need for ‘resilient supply chains’ to provide coronavirus vaccines to all the countries. Jaishankar and Guterres “discussed the need to ramp up global vaccine production through expanded supply chains," the MEA said.
