Indian Army Soldiers deployed at Siachen Cast their Votes for the 1st time

The EC provided facilities for Indian army deployed at remote & inhospitable terrain 'Siachen glacier' to cast their votes online. They were allowed to download their ballot papers online, vote & forward ballot papers to their respective electoral returning officers through the post. The soldiers enthusiastically cast their votes for elections despite severe weather conditions, displaying the strength of the democratic process.
