Indian govt panel recommends banning cryptocurrency and jail term for being involved

An Indian government panel has recommended banning all private cryptocurrencies and if business or organisations are found being involved, a jail term of 10 years and heavy fines shall be imposed. The govt and regulators will examine a report and draft legislation before a final judgement call is made. The panel has however asked the govt to consider an official backed digital currency in India.
