Dr. Monisha Ghosh, an Indian-American, becomes the first woman to get appointed as the Chief Technology Officer at the US Federal Communications Commission, replacing Dr. Eric Burger. The FCC regulates interstate & international communications by radio, TV, wire, satellite & cable in all 50 states, District of Columbia & US territories. She has conducted & overseen research into cutting-edge wireless issues in academia & industry.
