Indian visa applicants will have to declare criminal record

Thanking Home Minister Rajnath Singh for considering and accepting her request, Union Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi has announced that it is now mandatory for foreign nationals to declare their criminal record while applying for an Indian visa, in order to prevent entry of child sexual abusers into the country. A questionnaire will also be included in the visa form to deter such criminals.
