India's former Permanent Representative to the United Nations and also India's representative to IAEA, Syed Akbaruddin spoke to WION about India-US relations on the day US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin arrived in India. Mr. Akbaruddin said he sees no reason for India's strategic autonomy to get affected amid increasing ties with the US. He added that visits from key US officials are needed to be always looked at as landmarks.
