Home Minister Amit Shah spoke about the potential use of the upcoming 2021 Census data for future planning, development initiatives, and welfare schemes, however, the HM said that the fact that this would be the first Census where data would be collected digitally. Shah further argued that if this Census is done properly, it is possible that there could be just one single card in which all the other cards could be merged.
