Jammu border to get 'smart' fencing to foil infiltration bids

In order to strengthen the border security infrastructure in Jammu, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated two 'smart' border fencing pilot projects built under the Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System (CIBMS) programme. Each project will cover a stretch of 5.5km border to fill gaps in the fences using CIBMS's technology to create an invisible electronic barrier for preventing infiltration.
