Japan's new PM to be elected through party election around September 15

Japan's long-time Prime Minister Shinzo Abe stepped down from his post owing to the health conditions. According to the local media reports, the new Prime Minister will be chosen through party elections at around September 15. Abe's Liberal Democratic Party is in majority in parliament's lower house. Shinzo Abe declined to name a preferred successor in the press conference he called to announce his resignation.
