US President Joe Biden said he was hoping to complete the evacuation from Afghanistan by August 31. "We know that terrorists may seek to exploit the situation," Biden said while warning about the threat posed by Islamic State extremists known as ISIS-K. The US President called the evacuation from Kabul a "dangerous operation." Thousands of US troops are currently deployed at the Kabul airport for the evacuation.
