Leading telecom firms owe outstanding licence fees of over Rs 92,000 crore till date: Centre

The centre informed the Supreme court that the leading telecom firms such as Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, MSNL and BSNL have not yet paid licence fees and is still outstanding over Rs 92,000 crore. Department of Telecom said Airtel owes Rs 21,682.13 crore, Vodafone owes Rs 19,823.71 crore while Reliance Communications owed a total of Rs 16,456.47 crore. The state-owned BSNL owed Rs 2,098.72 crore & MTNL owed Rs 2,537.48 crore.
