Looters swarmed on Bagram, Afghanistan's largest airbase and the long-time headquarters of America's longest war, within hours of the US exit. According to Darwaish Raufi, a district administrator for Bagram, the looters took computers and gas canisters from the facility. According to Raufi, the US departure from the base occurred overnight and without consultation with local leaders. The looters were later detained.
