Maharashtra government's plea challenging CBI probe against Anil Deshmukh dismissed by SC

The Supreme Court today dismissed the plea by the Maharashtra government that challenged the Central Bureau of Investigation probe against former state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. The plea was heard by a Bench of Justices DY Chandrachud and MR Shah. The argument by the Maharashtra government's lawyer Rahul Chitnis, that the plea is "Only in regard to bars and restaurants" was not entertained by the court.
