Mahatma Gandhi's assassination picture on Kerala budget, FM Thomas Issac calls it 'political statement'

The CPM-led LDF government in Kerala on Friday released a copy of the fifth state finance Budget for 2020-21 fiscal depicting the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi on the cover. The Budget cover is being seen as a veiled attack on the Centre. Finance Minister Thomas Issac said the cover is a political statement. "We are sending out a message that we will not forget who murdered Gandhi," said Isaac while presenting the budget.
