Malwinder Singh Mali, Sidhu's controversial advisor, resigns amid demands of sacking

Malwinder Singh Mali, the advisor of Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu who sparked a row with a statement in which he said India has illegally occupied Kashmir, has stepped down from his post hours after AICC Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat called on Sidhu to sack him. "I withdraw my consent given for tendering suggestions to Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu," Mali wrote on Friday.
