Modi govt sets target of providing houses, RBI says India needs Rs.100 lakh crore investment

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) stated that India would need an investment of Rs.100 lakh crore to meet the goal of Prime Minister Modi, where he set an ambitious target of providing housing for all Indians by 2022. RBI also stated that the country needs to build 10 crores more houses. Despite policy focus and sustained government efforts, India still suffers from a housing shortage which could increase with the rising population.
