More than 5500 seats fall in BJP's court ahead of panchayat and municipal polls in Arunachal

After getting a satisfactory response from rural voters in Rajasthan, BJP has gained a massive lead in Arunachal Pradesh. The saffron party has won more than 5,500 seats unopposed ahead of the panchayat and municipal polls in the state that are due on December 22. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has won 96 of the total 240 Zila Parishad member posts. BJP also got 5410 of the 8291 gram panchayat member posts.
