More troops deployed in J&K after Article 370 scrapped, 8000 troops airlifted from different parts of India

After the Home Minister, Amit Shah moved to revoke Article 370 in Rajya Sabha, 8,000 paramilitary troops have been airlifted to J&K from different parts of the country via the IAF's C-17 aircraft. This deployment takes the number of troops deployed in J&K to 46,000 troops after more than 35,000 troops were brought into the state over the past week. Govt also proposes to bifurcates the state of J&K into two union territories.
