MP, Maharashtra saw maximum crime against senior citizens in 2014-16

39.64% of the crimes against senior citizens, that is 7,419 crimes have been registered in MP and Maharashtra. A total number of such crimes reported were 18,714 in that year. In 2016, the number of cases reported increased in those 2 states and in the country as well. MP and Maharashtra were followed by Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in that list. In J&K, no cases against senior citizens were registered.
