Multiple Exit Polls result: BJP set to retain Maharashtra and Haryana, dull show by Congress

Multiple Exit Polls, which were released after the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Haryana, predicted clean sweep by BJP. An average of most exit polls shows that the BJP and Shiv Sena combine will win 213 seats in the 288-seat Maharashtra Assembly, while the Congress and NCP combine will take 61. The counting of votes will be conducted on October 24. Bypolls also being held in 53 seats across 17 states and one UT.
