In a major turn of events, Mali's PM Moctar Ouane, President Bah N’Daw and Defence Minister have been arrested by the military. The arrests were made by the military after two members of the junta that had seized power in a coup nine months earlier, were left out in a reshuffle of government. The West African regional bloc known as ECOWAS and other internal community members called for the immediate release of the leaders.
