Nawaz Sharif was against Pakistan's nuclear tests

Pakistan’s Railways Minister Shiekh Rashid has claimed the then prime minister Nawaz Sharif was against the nuclear tests in 1998 in reply to India’s tests. Rashid who was a member of the cabinet of the Sharif government in 1998 said Sharif and almost his whole cabinet voted against conducting the nuclear tests. However, he admits Raja Zafarul Haq, Gauhar Ayub and he himself was in favour of conducting those tests.
