After weeks of tussle and debates over the political situation in Maharashtra that led to the fiasco of the BJP-Shivsena alliance, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Congress and Shiv Sena held discussions on the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) for a coalition government. As per the discussion, Shiv Sena will get a full-term chief minister while Congress and NCP will get to appoint one deputy chief minister each.
