No impact on the electrical grid during the 9-min Lights-Out event: Power minister RK Singh

Power minister R K Singh has cleared that throughout 9 mins Lights-out event, there was no impact on the electricity grid functioning and the event went out smoothly as appealed by PM Modi. The frequency went from 49.8 Hz to 50.4 Hz from 8.55 pm to 9.10 pm. PM Modi had urged everyone to switch off lights at 9 pm and insisted that we must spread the power of light in all directions & challenge the darkness of COVID-19 crisis.
