No intention to challenge or replace US: China asks US to remove sanctions

China's foreign minister Wang Yi called on US to lift sanctions on Beijing and stop "smearing the Communist Party of China and China's political system" while adding that China has no intention to challenge or replace the US. "Stop conniving at or support the erroneous words and actions of the separatist forces for Taiwan independence, and stop undermining China's sovereignty and security on internal affairs," Wang said.
