Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga denied the reports that he was planning to dissolve the country's lower house because of the severity of the coronavirus situation in mid-September. "We can't dissolve the lower house in this current situation," Suga said while adding that "there are no plans to push back the Liberal Democratic Party leadership election." The LDP faces the risk of losing its outright majority.
