Over 19 lakh excluded from final Assam’s NRC list

In the final National Register of Citizens (NRC) list in Assam which has been published at nrcassam.nic.in, more than 19 lakh people of the 3.29 crore applicants have been left out and over 3.11 crore included. Those excluded will have an opportunity to be back on the list if they appeal and establish citizenship, said official. This list conclude a Supreme Court-monitored exercise that took five years and ₹1,220 crore.
