Over 22,000 relief camps functional to help those in need: Govt to SC

In response to the PIL filed by activists, the centre has informed the supreme court that more than 22,000 government-run relief camps which are functional in 578 districts provide shelter and food to needy citizens during the 21-nationwide lockdown. The report provided facts and figures on relief camps, shelter homes, and food camps run by state govt & NGOs. It also said over 1 crore citizens have taken shelter & got food.
