Parliament Square in London has been graced with a statue of 19th century feminist leader Millicent Fawcett, who campaigned for women to get the right to vote. She is depicted in her middle age, with her head held high and looking at the houses of parliament. A banner held by her reads “courage calls to courage everywhere”. She joins the likes of Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Abraham Lincoln.
