Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, in a blunt statement, has refused to withdraw navy and coast guard boats patrolling the disputed South China Sea. Duterte said that Philippines' claims to the waterway "cannot be bargainable". "China has no business telling the Philippines what we can and cannot do with our own waters," the country's defence department had said. Duterte added that he has the interest of his country to protect.
