PM Modi-led CCS cleared 17 warships to significantly boost Indian Navy capabilities, says former Navy Vice Chief SN Ghorpade

The Cabinet Committee on Security headed by PM Modi has cleared two important proposals for acquiring 17 warships which will help significantly boost the capabilities of the Indian Navy. The project for OPVs has been given to two shipyards including the Goa Shipyard Limited which will construct seven of these warships as the lowest bidder and the remaining four being built by another public sector shipyard.
