In a heartfelt gesture, a mayor who died of COVID-19 two weeks ago in Romania was re-elected by the residents of his village in the Southern part of the country. The late mayor identified as Ion Aliman was re-elected in a landslide for a third term from the village of Deveselu. “It is your victory. Know that you will be proud of us. Rest in peace," a man is heard saying in a video that has gone viral.
