Rafale jets to have tail numbers with BS initials, an ode to IAF Chief

In recognition of former IAF chief BS Dhanoa (retired), the IAF has decided to put tail numbers in 30 Rafale jets with 'BS' initials. Out of the 36 Rafale jets, 30 will be fighter jets and 6 will be trainers. The 6 Rafale trainer aircraft will have RB Series tail numbers that stand for the current chief RKS Bhadauria, who played a key role as lead negotiator for the mega-deal. The trainer jets will be twin-seated.
