RBI gave highest dividend during Raghuram Rajan's reign in 2015

On Monday, Reserve Bank of India has decided to provide an interim dividend of Rs 28,000crore to the Modi government to help out the government from a tricky financial situation. Government is falling behind with lack of revenues and unable to maintain the fiscal deficit target. However, in 2015, RBI has paid its highest ever dividend of Rs 65,896cr in 2015 and Rs 65,876cr in 2016 under the governorship of Raghuram Rajan.
