RBI To Circulate New Rs 1000 Note By December

Preparations are in full swing at the Reserve Bank of India to introduce new Rs 1,000 notes, whose older version was discontinued last year during PM Modi's demonetisation move. The new one will come with enhanced safety features by December. Rs 1000 is set to narrow the wide gulf between the Rs 500 and Rs 2000 denominated notes. RBI released new Rs 200 and new Rs 50 denomination notes last week.
