A record number of women will stand for Parliament next month, as female candidates will comprise almost a third of the total. Reports say 1,120 of 3,322 registered candidates are women. The Conservatives and Labour will field candidates in each constituency in Britain except Chorley in Lancashire. Meanwhile, the Brexit Party is set to put forward 275 candidates, standing aside in all seats won by Tories in 2017.
