Reuters journalists jailed for 7 years for investigating Rohingya

Wa Lone and Kaw Soe Oo, 2 Reuters journalists investing the Rohingya case have been accused of breaking Myanmar's official secrets act. They have been sentenced for seven years of imprisonment by a Yangon court. Human rights officials and Reuters officials have said that it is a big hammer blow to the freedom of media in Myanmar. Both journalists testified that they were being framed by the police.
